Now that you have grown your beard, or perhaps you are just looking for something a little different, here are some of my favorite products that work and smell great.

- Bossman– The “Essentials Beard Kit” is nice. It does it’s job, and if you choose a scented product, smells great! My personal favorites are the StageCoach and Royal Oud. This is some of the most affordable product to get you started off with. Keep in mind, you do get what you pay for. Or if you’re still in the beginning phase of your growth, the wax isn’t going to do much. So I suggest just getting the jelly. Unlike regular beard oils, the jelly is just that, a jelly, so it will come out and apply a lot thicker than an oil, and still offer the protection your skin and hair need.Click on the link to get a detailed product ingredient list to make sure you aren’t allergic to something in it.

- “Zeus”– beard products are going to be your next step up. I have found these ingredients to be stronger and the scents more on the mild side, depending on what you prefer. The offer complete kits, oils, waxes, combs, brushes, and more!

- The Bearded Struggle– This, in my humble opinion, is the best product! The scents, the cost, the results, everything about them is awesome! You can try one of their sample kits, which will be oils, balms or cologne kits. These will come with almost all the scents they offer at that point in time. When I ordered my last one, it came with 10 different scents. Don’t let the ”sample” frighten you either, unlike almost every other brand I’ve tried, their sample kit (the oils) comes with about half an ounce or so of oil and the dropper! Others come with just enough for 1 try, then it’s done. I get about 2 weeks (with 8 drops per use) from ONE bottle! I do order my favorites in their own 2oz bottles, but I like to order the samplers because it’s nice to change it up every once and a while. There prices are on the higher side (my sample kit was 80.00) but, I believe it is very worth it!
- Combs- Wooden Combs are by far the best solution when it comes to detangling and grooming out your beard. They typically smell like sandalwood, they don’t snag or pull, and they don’t cause split ends (unless you buy a stupid cheap one possibly). I like the ones like the above link, it has wide space and fine toothed ends for beard and mustache. It is great. You can also go with a plastic comb, but be very wary of these. They will definitely cause split ends if you are not careful. I bought a couple from our local Sally’s, but you can go to any actual salon and find the better plastic combs.
- Brushes- When it comes to brushes, keep it simple, look for some type of natural, medium bristle brush. Avoid something to too stiff, and no hair brushes, with the skinny shaft and round tips. This is primarily to evenly distribute oils and brush out your beard.
- Heated Brush- Now for the longer bearded fellas out there, something to consider is a heated brush. These are actually pretty cool and work amazing! I would highly recommend getting some type of heart protectant though to spray/rub on your beard, just an extra level of protection. There are all kinds out there, just make sure to do your research! For example, I haven’t personally tried this but I have a few friends that have, and it is a very good price. My personal favorite though, is the 3-in-1 beard brush and heated comb. At the time of posting this, something is going on with their pricing on the landing pages, but be alarmed! I paid a little over 100 for mine, but at the time of writing this I added one to the cart to see the actual price and they are on sale 97.00, plus shipping and possibly tax, but they are ALWAYS offering deals and special promotions so expect to pay less.
I hope I was able to provide some great examples for you in your search. The bottom line is, don’t forget to hydrate your beard, moisturize your face, and smell good all day. If you have any great suggestions, don’t be stingy and share them with the community! I have tried a ton myself, these are simply the ones I have landed on that I either really like or love!
