Useless Government

          I know I can’t be the only one that feels this way, and if I am then there is a bigger problem than I thought. Seriously though, why are we giving these old asses the power to ruin our country? People wanted to impeach Trump for any little reason, “oops, sorry Donny! You wiped your ass with the wrong hand, you must go!”, “We need a Democrat back in the office, then things will get better”. Yeah, how’s that going for you, for us? You know, perhaps if he were 30 years younger and wore the pants things COULD be different. This geriatric can’t even find his damn pants though!

          Instead of making so many people dependent on an outside source to help, (i.e. feds with that “relief” fund, America on outside oil, etc.) why don’t we spend half as much and create opportunity at home? Why don’t we teach kids in school about money, taxes, trades, business? Noone NEEDS home-ec because that should be taught… AT HOME! We love to spend so much on useless shit, then rely on things like fast-food chains to make our meals. Seriously, instead of 20 fast-food chains and several major shopping centers in a small city, the local government SHOULD take control of their own house and invest in “beautification”. Actual beautification too, not just more trash cans, and graffiti removal. Some of the graffiti pieces I have seen are better than the $xx,xxx pieces of “art” they pay for from some artists who no one even remembers their name. Put those kids to work! Offer THEM a fraction of the amount, per piece, that they will take pride in creating and have them create these pieces around the city. Then build up and refinish some of the older buildings, fix your roads, fix your lights, and invest in LOCAL business! You can’t fix the world with a headless hammer…. That’s just a stick, and someone will always carry a bigger one.

          We have become so fixated on changing what was never really broken, to appease these weaklings that WE are bringing up the world! No, fix the kid and fix yourself. We want convenience so we don’t have to go anywhere to get anything… With the gas prices these days I get that, but in doing so we have created a never-ending money-pit for ourselves, so how convenient is that? Bring back blockbusters, bring back Hollywood video, heck even Redbox is ok. If you don’t want to go get the movie, then you do need to spend the money on it, and in return, you will save money. What a concept, right? Most of you could use the extra steps anyhow, let’s face it. Especially when it comes to getting your own groceries. You know why you “don’t have time” to get them, because you either don’t want to get up from the couch to go, or you have given your employer TOO much power over your life. That’s an error that you created, live with it until you learn how to fix it.

          Then there is the almighty Government, who likes to say they are doing what’s “best of the people”. If that’s the case, how about we have more states that don’t take income taxes? We are allowing them to take our money, that we have given out time and energy to earn, and spend it on what? Nothing we ever see! Now, for us anyways this wear, we owe quite a bit in taxes… because we were given money that we didn’t ask for. The IRS STILL got their numbers wrong, didn’t “give” as much as they should have for OUR household, but we are expected to pay back the money we didn’t receive? Heaven, forbid we ask for PROOF, I did that with this P.O.S state of NM last year because it was funny how, the taxes for the fed were correct, they took very little and we didn’t owe anything, THAT WAS PERFECT, but the state pulled the most, and we still owed? I cent a certified letter requesting proof, short backstory a couple of years prior the wanted “proof” because they owed us money, and would not pay it if we didn’t provide “proof” but would make us pay them, did they send proof? NO! They sent a shitty letter saying, “we have reviewed the numbers and you actually owe this”. No records, no numbers other than the amount they expected, no explanation, no anything. Businesses want every piece of paper under the sun to barely give you over a living wage… yet we allow these morons and retirees in the government to stay?!

          They say they want to help, but when it comes down to it, they will use you to catch the bullets. They keep their thumb on the artery, and if they feel you are getting too much blood (money) they apply pressure to cut it off. Then, when you are about to lose consciousness, they release the pressure and say they helped you and brought you back! They are the cause!! I am so fed up with it. If you step on my doormat, I will take the appropriate actions. I won’t fly our flag any longer because what it once stood for, is gone. I was one who fought for it, many have died for it. It’s been almost a century since we have fought for something worth fighting for. The people that are protected by it, don’t deserve to be, while the ones who bled and suffered the loss for it are ridiculed and left out in the cold. I won’t burn it because I have seen it on fire. I won’t stomp on it because it has draped some of my brothers. Instead, I will keep my folded, and put it away. I don’t need to fly it to show I support anything because I don’t anymore. Just as I don’t need to go to a hypocritical church because that is the only way I can talk to God.

          I know what’s coming, “if you don’t like it then leave”. Believe me, I would if I could. There are far better places to live. But as a family, we can’t even decide what state to move to, so another country is almost completely out of the question. I’d also like to believe, while it wasn’t for nearly as long as I had hoped when I was younger, I have earned my keep. While most of America has not. If you served, if you started a business (big or small, just not a franchise), if you care for others professionally, then I believe you have earned yours as well. The rest, need to stop bitching, and do some soul searching. One thing that I really love about these “post-apocalyptic” shows and movies, is if you can’t contribute then your ass is on your own. If people can’t in the real world, it should be the same. I have seen homeless that put in more effort to doing work than most of the people who have been on the job for years do. This should go for the Government as well. When I say Government, I mean everyone… starting at the top or the bottom it doesn’t matter. The bottom would be more effective though, in my opinion. Because once WE start holding these assholes accountable, we will see the change. It’s easier for 12 to carry 1, then 1 to carry 12…. That’s how people get left behind.
